Practice Area: LitigationDefense Litigation • Personal Injury • Tort Claims • Contingent Fee Cases Contingent Fee Cases Many claims for damages may be pursued under a contingent fee agreement including personal injury and employee workers' compensation cases. Under this agreement, our clients do not have to pay us anything to begin their litigation. If we are able to recover damages or a settlement for our client, then we take a percentage of that award as our fee. We will generally pay for the cost of expenses associated with litigation as they are incurred, and then recover our expenses after our fees have been deducted from any settlement or award. However, we provide a written fee agreement to all of our contingent fee clients that specifically describes the method by which fees will be calculated and expenses paid. We understand that an injury may cause extended time off from work, medical and prescription drug expenses, and financial hardships for our clients and we will pursue your case vigorously so that the quickest possible recovery is obtained.
