Steven L. Wright

Education and Experience

University of Missouri, Columbia (J.D. 1984); Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the School of Journalism, University of Missouri (1980).  He began his legal career as a staff attorney drafting legislation for the Missouri General assembly, later serving as a lobbyist and as General Counsel for the Missouri School Boards Association before entering private practice. His law practice now includes representing school districts throughout the state. He is a former Chairman of the Council of School Attorneys and of the Education Law Committee of the Missouri Bar Association, and his appellate experience includes cases in the Missouri Courts of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Missouri, the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
